Great for more laid-back pooches or older dogs who want to take their time, sniff everything, and hang with a few furry friends. We cover 1-3 miles of low-impact terrain. Loads of fun, but easier on the joints of senior dogs.

Trail Trek

Leashed adventure for active dogs who want to get out and explore! We cover more challenging terrain along the numerous trails and parks in the Triangle Area. If your canine companion is bored walking around the block, this is for you! Terrific exercise (and they'll come home with awesome stories.)

Unleash the Hounds!

A high-octane, off-the-leash adventure where your high-energy dog can run with the pack. Fetch, romping, Frisbee, sniffing, running and socializing. Locations vary.

What to expect

It takes a community to raise a happy, socially well-adjusted pup and that's why we work so closely with owners to match their dog's personality and energy level with other dogs.

We only introduce one dog at a time to the pack. Your pooch makes furry friends for life, and all dogs enjoy epic, nature-rich adventures geared for their ages, abilities and personalities.

We will pick up your dog, fasten them in our vehicle, and treat them to an epic #dogdayadventure! You will be notified when we have picked up your pup for their adventure and again when they are returned home. We visit local farms for off-leash socializing and explore numerous State parks and trails for extended leashed hikes. You'll come home to a happy and relaxed dog with awesome stories to tell. We will post photos of your pooch and friends on our social media outlets so you can see first hand what a great adventure is all about.

We are a small company working locally with great trainers, groomers, rescues, and pet suppliers. (That's our pack!) We are fully insured and trained in canine CPR and first aid.

It all started when…

One evening while sitting outside our favorite cafe my wife and I observed numerous dogs being walked along the concrete sidewalks of downtown Raleigh. While walking around town is great for a dogs socialization it lacks the extended physical exercise dogs require to lead a balanced lifestyle.

As a volunteer and transport provider for Peak Lab Rescue I have seen far too many great dogs abandoned by owners due to destructive or unacceptable behavior. A regular exercise program has proven to help reduce and even eliminate common problems such as anxiety, biting, and hyperactivity.

I believe our pups are happiest and healthiest when they are exploring all the scents and sights mother nature has to offer! Dog Day Adventure was created as an alternative to traditional daycare and walks around the block. We provide dogs with a fun enriched environment in which they can thrive while enjoying nature, playing with their pack mates and just being a dog.
